Frequently asked questions
Everything people ask before they start, answered without the marketing fluff. If something is missing, tell us and we will add it.
Yes. Husk can be used to install Android APK files on iOS devices. You download the HUSK IPA, sign it with a sideloading tool such as SideStore, enable JIT with StikDebug, and then import APKs straight into the Android environment. The full walkthrough is on the install guide.
If you want to run Android on iOS, make sure your iOS version is 26 or later. If your iOS version is lower than that, you might face lagging or crashing issues. The runtime is 64-bit only, so a 64-bit iPhone or iPad is required.
No. The Husk app has not been released on the App Store. To download and use it on your iOS device you need to download its IPA file and use a sideloading tool to sign it. The best option is SideStore, because it refreshes your signature in the background over VPN and needs a computer only for the first install.
Yes, you must enable JIT to get the Android experience on iOS. Enabling JIT is mandatory for both methods: the Translation Layer and the QEMU emulation. StikDebug is the usual way to do this, using a pairing file generated by a helper tool on your computer.
Not right now. Husk currently does not support ARM 32-bit APK files. If you want to install an APK file on your iPhone, make sure the APK file is 64-bit (arm64-v8a). The developers are working on 32-bit compatibility, and this page will be updated as soon as an update is released.
Nine times out of ten it is one of three things: the app is not signed in to a sideload account, the free developer signature has expired, or JIT is not enabled. Re-sign the IPA in SideStore, confirm StikDebug shows JIT enabled, and make sure you are on iOS 26 or later.
The Translation Layer is dramatically faster because it maps Android APIs straight onto native iOS code. The QEMU / LineageOS method boots a real Android system image, which is much slower but can run apps the translation layer does not support yet.
StikDebug needs a pairing file to talk to your device over VPN. Connect the iPhone to your computer, open your helper tool, use Manage Pairing File, and place the file for StikDebug. Then tap Refresh inside StikDebug and the refresh icon will list options instead of red error text.
No. The computer is only needed once, to install SideStore and to place the pairing file the first time. After that SideStore and LocalDevVPN keep the signature alive on the iPhone itself. You only need a PC again if you reinstall from scratch.
Sideloading an app you trust is not illegal, but you are responsible for what you install. Avoid APKs from unknown sources, check the permissions the app requests, and remember that emulating an app is not the same as a licensed copy of it. This site hosts no app binaries of its own — it links to the developer and helps you set things up.
